3 STAGES OF GROWING WITH LED LIGHT

LED LIGHTS AND SEEDLINGS

Once your seeds germinate, your cannabis plant needs light to grow better. However, your seedlings are more sensitive to strong light than more mature plants. Therefore, you should be careful when using LED grow lights for the first time.

If your LED has the dimming function, please turn down the light. If it is not possible to adjust, please consider moving your light further up and away from the seedlings. On the other hand, make sure not to move the light up too far, as this may cause the seedlings to grow slender and lanky.

Set your timer to 18 hours of light per day and 6 hours of darkness.

As the seedlings grow taller, stronger, and approach the strongest part of the vegetative growth phase, you can gradually increase the light intensity.

LED LIGHTS DURING VEGETATION
Set your lights to 18 hours and 6 hours of darkness per day. Some growers choose to grow under 20-24 hours of light to maximize vegetative growth.

Monitor the development of your plant; if all goes well, it should grow healthy, strong and dense. If it becomes elongated and slender, it may be because your plant is not getting enough light. Increase the intensity by lowering the light toward the plant canopy, or if your light has a dimmer, use a dimmer to increase the intensity.

How long you want to grow your plants usually depends on how much space you have available. Technically, you can let the plants grow under 18 to 24 hours of light as needed, but there may be a period of time when you want to switch to flowering, otherwise the plants will only grow too large. It is known that some cannabis strains can stretch significantly (up to 2 times or more) during early flowering. Please take this into consideration when deciding when to start switching to flowering.

LED LIGHTS DURING FLOWERING

Photoperiod cannabis begins to bloom in late summer, when daylight hours naturally begin to decrease. Indoor growers induce flowering by setting the light schedule to 12 hours of light and 12 hours of total darkness.

When you spend a 12-12 schedule indoors, it is important that 12 hours of darkness are not interrupted. Make sure your tent or greenhouse doesn't have any light coming in from the outside.Otherwise, this will turn your flowering plants back into veg, or potentially cause other problems, such as hermaphroditism.

If your LED has dimmers, now is the time to turn your lights up to maximum intensity, or lower your lights to the recommended distance from the flowering stage of the plant.

Tip: If you make any changes to the lights, such as when you increase the intensity and/or lower their position, make sure to do it gradually over a few days, not all at once. Changes that are too sudden will put too much pressure on your plants.
